Rider's cafe

Rider's cafe is one of the few places I wanted to visit after getting my driver's license. Located at Bukit Timah Saddle Club, it is super inconvenient and public transport is pretty much inaccessible. I tried making reservations online but the earliest time slot was at 4 pm so we decided to head down at 2 pm to try our luck. Thankfully, we got a table in less than 20 minutes.

Spent our waiting time exploring the place.. super amazed with the tranquil location. Everywhere was so serene and we also saw a few horses walking around the grassland!

I ordered the french toast! It came with two thick and fluffy brioche slices topped with a whole grilled banana and bacon along side some maple syrup. The best combination of savoury and sweet, absolutely loved it. Bernard ordered their Blackstone Benedict (I mean, what's brunch without Eggs Benny?) which was not too bad. We shared a mocha float which is seriously one of the best drinks I've tried.. the ice cream is so rich and blends so well with the mocha.. drools.

Apart from the food, i really loved the black and white feel of the place. The ambience is really perfect for a weekend brunch. I guess that is why people take the effort to travel all the way here in the middle of nowhere to enjoy the chill vibes. I'd definitely be back to try their chocolate cake!! and more mocha float!
