Korea 2016 Day 6

Last day in Korea was spent at Everland!!! Took the bus to Gangnam for the direct bus to the theme park but first, breakfast! Bread for Bernard but Jamba Juice caught my eye and got me so excited because I had it on my previous trip at the airport before leaving and it was so good!

Weeee ~~ So happy to have visited Everland again. This time with my better half!

Cherry blossom season was literally breathtaking!!

Our first cable car ride (I think?!)!!

Ended our day with Japanese food. Everland was really fun but I was so disappointed because all the good and scary rides were closed due to the wind. When I went previously in the 5°C cold, all the rides were opened but this time when it was 18°C (though it felt way less than that), it was closed #whuttt. I was so excited to watch Bernard go absolutely nuts on the T-Express, sigh!

Day 7 was heading straight to the airpot and pigging it out at Paris Baguette. Try their beef bulogi sandwich, hopefully Singapore has it too!!

Yet another travel post done! Left with Hong Kong and I'll be done!! Hoping to plan something in September during Bernard's block leave, let's hope that works out : )

Korea 2016 Day 5

On the 5th day, we decided to catch the popular Nanta Show at their Myeondong Theatre!! A show with a blend of culinary skills, music, acrobatic moves and martial arts. It was super entertaining, really loved it.

After the show, we were super hungry and since we were on the street famous for their food.. we went all out hahaha!

Not pictured are the countless of fishcake I had hehehe, we actually spent 30,000 won on street food alone.

The only proper sit down meal was for this sushi. Had this on my previous trip and it was so good but this time we had it at a different location and it was sooo bad!

We literally spent the entire day at Myeondong. It was literally make-up and sneakers heaven!

Our loots for the day, it was so crazy we had to take a taxi back to the hotel. Gosh, I miss Korea so much T_T

Korea 2016 Day 4

Warning: A HECK LOAD OF FOOD PICTURES! In fact, this post only has pictures of food because we spent the entire day either eating or shopping :>

Met my aunts at PJ Hotel where they checked-in! Had lunch at the homely eatery nearby.. my mother loves to rave about this place.

We definitely over ordered and everything was slightly too salty for our liking!

Sonia enjoyed her food though! She even made friends with the Korean boy sitting next to our table hahaha ~

We went shopping at the Express Bus Terminal and I bought a lottttt of stuff there. Everything is cheap and trendy!! It has 600 stores and is the largest underground mall in Seoul. A MUST GO:
Express Bus Terminal Station (Subway Line 3,7 and 9), Exit 8.

Ended the day with BBQ and beer!! This was our most expensive meal in Korea, I think about $45 per person? But the meat was top notch and so delicious!

Korea 2016 Day 3

Started our day at beautiful Garosu-gil! A super popular place for cafe hopping. Garosu-gil means "tree-lined street" in Korean, as you can see in this picture.. indeed the trees are all lined up along side the boutiques, cafes and art galleries. So gorgeous!

One problem with Korea's cafe scene is that they specialise more on cakes and coffee, unlike Singapore when you think of cafes it's along the lines of brunch: eggs benedict, french toast etc.. And so we had to hunt for a place to eat first.

Stumbled into a random restaurant after much walking and researching.. they specialise in BBQ and soup.. and it was bad alright. Didn't even bother taking down their address HAHA so disappointing.

Dessert time at Deux Cremes! They specialise in tarts (similar to Fruit Paradise but better), I chose the strawberry earl grey one which was decent. We had a hard time trying to pick the flavour cause there were so many on display! Their mint chocolate was pretty good though.

Settled for soft serve at Remicone since most of the cafes I wanted to visit like Cafe De Paris and Coffee smith was way too crowded! I was super excited to let Bernard try Remicone cause it's my favourite and i'm so happy he liked it (though we made a huge mess trying to eat the cotton candy) :>

Hung around till evening before heading off to meet my aunts who just arrived in Korea! It was in that moment Google Maps + City Mappers failed me :-( What was suppose to be a 15 mins journey became 1.5 hours boooo....

Korean BBQ for dinner!!! It was so good but what was even better was the cute guy helping us with our food:

hur hur... super cute guy! We even tipped him in SGD because he said that he's always wanted to visit Singapore but it's too expensive haha.

And then Sonia went along and played with my camera, taking all these shots lol:

another pic of the cute guy ^ see, even the girl in the pic is swooning HAHA!
