Day 11 of 21 (Part II) - Prague

Prague Castle!! One of the biggest castle complex in Europe.

It was really pretty from the outside and we didn't even bother going in because we had to pay for everything. It's pretty annoying and I guess we too don't appreciate enough to pay to enter a castle zzz

well, the million dollar view was free hahaha, it was the highlight of the entire trip and 100% worth the hike up!!

We got really hungry after so much walking so we settled at a random restaurant selling Czech cuisine. I can't remember what I ordered but it was sooooo good! Bernard ordered their pork knuckle and it was HUGE. A total rustic, comically oversized meat that is almost impossible to finish. I have to say, Czech cuisine is pretty sick and I only wish we had more meals here!

Charles Bridge, one of Prague's main attraction. It was filled with people, buskers, artists selling their ware like unique jewellery and paintings. We even caught a glimpse of the sunset, it was sooo beautiful.. a bridge filled with so much history!

Basically that was all for Prague. I wanted to go back earlier that night to rest as we were catching a 6 am flight the next morning to Brussels!

Prague inspired wistful remembrance - of it's beautify, rich history, it's famous beer and graceful bridges. It seemed to have a higher concentration of beautiful buildings, extremely different from all the other places we visited. I only wished Bernard and I appreciated such countries more because seriously I think all we get excited about is shopping and photogenic places bahahaha.

Next post - Brussels!

Day 11 of 21 (Part I) - Prague

Brunch at Cathedral Cafe located down a side street behind a cathedral right at the Old Town Square!! An absolute hidden gem, we were the only ones in the cafe hehe. Food was average though I really liked my pancake cause I had a bad craving and yes, the pancakes are as tiny as it looks while the homemade lemonade was gigantic (500 ml).

Astronomical clock! It's 600 years old btw. So while everyone was waiting for the clock to strike 1 pm, I quickly ran to the side to sneak a pic before it gets crowded again!

LMAO

The heart of Prague, literally just 6 tram stops away from our Airbnb apartment. The amazing buildings of breathtaking architects. A very different kind of beauty in my opinion.

Night time in the Old Town seems more lively though. They had a live fire show, a ton of buskers and good music playing from every restaurant.

Off we went to Prague Castle!! Pit stop at the Royal Garden beneath the castle : )

It's so beautiful even from afar!! The castle sits on top of a hill, what a sight!

And then the moment we entered the ground, we were greeted by the most beautiful St. Vitus Cathedral :')

So impressive and one of a kind!

I was going to scream out loud when I entered the cathedral because I saved a picture of the interior of the cathedral on my laptop many years ago. I visited the cathedral not knowing it was the exact picture I was swooning over years ago! 1000 years of history in this building, gorgeous stained glass windows and good lighting.

Too many pictures for one post so more in part II!
