Day 14 of 21 - Manchester

This photo shows a small side of Bernard's OCD-ness, where everything needs to be hanged and packed nicely before we sleep and before we leave the house. Thank God for such a good packer, i'm such a mess and I wonder how he stands me sometimes??

Met Joan for brunch at a nice quaint cafe called Teacup Kitchen at the popular Northen Quarter area. Tea was terrifically served, the salmon eggs benedict was really on point (according to Bernard) and everything else wasn't too shabby. Their cakes looked too appealing not to order so we went ahead with the rainbow cake:

and sadly, it was disappointing. Tasteless T_T

It was a short but good catch up with one of my best pals since forever!! Thank you Jo for bringing me around x

Off we went to catch our game against Sunderland!!!!!!!! Weeeeeeeet ~

Couldn't be happier, definitely the highlight and the whole point of coming to Manchester. All our dreams came true, from watching the games on TV or at bars/coffeeshops, to watching it live before our very eyes.. I can't describe the feeling. Best of all, we won the game with 3-0 and Mata was man of the match and I got his name printed on my shirt!!

so we met a really drunk man while resting outside the stadium. He went on tell us that he's a Sunderland supporter and kept asking me to take pictures of him and Bernard?? I was like ugh okay and then before we left he kissed me on my head and hand EEEEEEEKKKKKSSSSSS *dies*

bye Old Trafford, till the next time x

Met Josh, Sarah and Joan for dinner! We were planning to have Almost Famous burger but the wait was two hours long so we had to put ourselves on waiting list #cray. We were on Google Maps and we found out that Chinatown was nearby and all our Asian cravings were so real we decided to go Pearl City for dinner HAHAHA

It was insanely expensive but so good?? Everyone got to pick out a dish of their choice and Joan literally shouted "TIE BAN TOU FU!". Really pity them studying overseas because you seriously can't live without Asian/Chinese food.

ALMOST FAMOUS BURGER ~ atmosphere was cute, food was amaze balls and drinks were satisfying but company was wayyyyy better. I laughed till I cried and I haven't done that in the longest time.

Thank you Sarah and Josh for coming down to Manchester to meet us, appreciate it so much! One of my favourite nights of the entire trip, spent with great friends!

Day 13 of 21 - Manchester

Arrived in Manchester from Brussels on the 13th day! It was freezing mad when we arrived at 7:30 am in the morning, and worst of all we had to wait 45 mins for our train to arrive. Nonetheless, checked in to our gorgeous Airbnb at Salford!

Link: https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/7747878

This area is known as the "upside down" house because the kitchen is on the top floor, dining and living room is on the second floor while the bed room is on the ground floor!

Super pretty and cosy right?! I had such a fun time exploring the house. Took a good hot shower before heading out for our stadium tour at Manchester United :>

The moment I stepped into Old Trafford, I literally wanted to cry. I couldn't believe we made it all the way to the stadium of our favourite club in the world. It was so insanely surreal and I was so damm excited!!!

*screams*

The whole tour was entertaining and informative. My favourite part was obviously going to the player's dressing room and we took so many pictures in there. Basically I didn't want to leave the dressing room, for realz.

We got to see all the key areas of the ground and that of course included the seats of the managers and sub players! The whole tour was beyond my expectations and I honestly had such an amazing time. We even got to walk down the tunnel which was rlly funny because they made us line up in pairs and we had to walk out with fake supporter "cheers" played over the audio system as though we're coming out for a game lololol #HILARIOUS.

Lunch at the Red Café! It was worth the stop even though we technically had no choice but to eat there because I was starving so bad.. Food was reasonably priced and tasted above average : )

And then we went shopping at the Mega Store to get our mandatory jerseys for keep sake and also to wear it to the match the next day! Even though the price of the jersey at the mega store was like double compared to any regular store, it was so worth it! I printed Mata's name and Bernard printed Darmian's name! We even got a cute certificate of completion from the museum tour before leaving :P

We basically spent the whole day at Old Trafford. That was basically the whole point of visiting Manchester anyway haha!

Bernard takes the most retarded pictures of me lel

Ended the evening with coffee from Joe & The Juice (P.S. they opened a store at Raffles Place! SO EXCITED!) (P.P.S. London's Joe & The Juice stores only hire CUTE guys #justsaying)
