I have heard a lot about Symmetry and i'm glad that I finally made it to this cafe (by day and restaurant by night) to witness for myself what the rave is all about. Bernard and I love visiting new places however this time, a simple late lunch of coffee, fries, sandwiches and waffles left us about $70 poorer. I felt really guilty bringing Bernard here for no particular occasion so i footed the bill.. if not I would never be at peace - for at least a week or smth.
Symmetry is beautiful with the right kind of furniture, fittings and decor. It's interior of brick walls, long windows and dim lights gives you the comfortable feeling and even their menu is super pretty!
The mocha was a good kickstart to the meal, it tasted decent. It was a pity we arrived late, there were tons of things unavailable at 4 pm in the afternoon. The truffle fries came in a tall bucket (the portion is comparable to P.S. Cafe's mountain of fries) and the smell of it was simply awesome! I love the parmesan cheese shavings.. ok blogging in the middle of the night isn't the best idea, i'm getting super hungry. Bernard ordered the pulled duck & apricot croissant! I don't know why he always order pulled duck stuff but the apricot blended really well and it actually tasted pretty good. I ordered their waffles because i've been seeing so many photos of it and trust me, it tasted as yummy as it looks. A stack of waffles with a scoop of ice cream doubled up with nutella and peanut butter. Fluffy and crispy all at once.. ahhh... goodnight all : )
oh and will I go back to Symmetry? maybe only to try their Eggs Benedict but apart from that, it's rather overpriced! There are definitely better places out there!
