Day 3 was literally a food adventure so WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU'RE FEELING HUNGRY, THERE IS A TON OF FOOD PHOTOS!!
In the morning, we ventured into the food enclave of Thong Lor! Visiting a brunch cafe in Bangkok seems to be super popular these days and even my mum, aunts and gramp is totally up for the hype. Our first stop was Roast Coffe & Eatery - located right next to the popular Mr Jones orphanage, this place gave off the industrial vibes. We arrived early at 10:30 am but we still had to wait for a good 20 minutes as it was a Saturday so be sure to come early!
Their newsletter doubles up as a menu with a wide selection of more than 90 items... we ordered the crab cake benedict, lamb shank, chicken schnitzel and duck confit salad along with amazing coffee and pink lemonade. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!!! The portion of the crab cake benny was super small but it tasted so insanely delicious (good things come in small packages). I personally like the chicken schnitzel as well.. it was thin, crispy and super juicy! The roasted almond flakes added fragrance to the dish and blended really well. All in all, Roast is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city.. no traffic jams and the usual crazy shopping routine : )

I felt like I stepped into a whimsical wonderland upon entering Mr Jones... everything was so cute!! The fluffy teddy bears, furnishing, vintage prints, plates and cutlery... however, this cakes sucks. We couldn't even finish 3 cakes! It was so disappointing.. the Ferrero cake and Kit Kat monster tasted rather similar, both weren't to my liking. The red velvet tasted pretty decent but the taste got pretty overwhelming after a few mouths. Sobs! I only enjoyed the over priced Earl grey tea I ordered :-(

After you dessert cafe is a must-visit in Bangkok! We waited 30 minutes (explored the big supermarket while doing so) for seats and it was so worth it... we ordered the two most popular honey toast - Ferrero toast and the classic shibuya honey toast. I would highly recommend the Ferrero toast to those with a sweet tooth! It was super delicious and extra points for the amazing drooling looks. The classic was simple and yummy as well, I can't decide which one taste better cause it's both SO GOOD!! Posted this pic up on instagram and my dad commented "how many kg you put on this trip??" #SIGH 1 KG TO BE EXACT, CRIES.

In the night we took a boat and explored Asiatique. I LOST ALL MY PICTURES FOR THAT NIGHT AFTER CLEARING THEM OUT BECAUSE MY LAPTOP HAD NO MORE SPACE UGH!! It started pouring 1 hour after we arrived so we seeked shelter at a Japanese restaurant and had dinner there.. the food was only average! Took a cab back and had a good rest that night : )
