Nantsuttei Ramen is located at "Itadakimasu", a whole floor in Parco Marina Bay at Millienia Walk dedicated to Japanese theme restaurants. The restaurant interior is simple with small tables and has a cosy ambience. I ordered the Hot miso ramen while Bernard ordered the normal ramen. The broth has it's unique flavour and rich taste. What I like the most is the distinctive feature of the ma-you (sesame oil) which gives it a slightly different twist to the usual Tonkotsu soup. The Chashu is tender and thick. I added an egg to my noodles and it was really yummy! However I couldn't even finish half the bowl because the portion was too big and the soup became slightly overwhelming. We also ordered the Gyoza which was quite average.
In my opinion the best ramen in Singapore - Ippudo. The famed ramen joint with the infamous snaking lines. Tip: visit this restaurant during off peak hours like 3 pm in the afternoon to avoid the crazy queue! I always order the Akamaru Tamago - like the noodles, love the pork!! Bernard orders the Shiromaru Motoaji that has the original tonkatsu broth. For sides we will order the chicken and pork bun! oh and try their japanese cucumber, it's drizzled in sesame oil and taste super refreshing and crunchy. yumzzz ~ IPPUDO BEATS NANTSUTTEI HANDS DOWN :>
