Cafe hunting with my family at Serangoon Gardens because my second sister had a birthday party to attend around the area. I came to realise that Serangoon Gardens has so many hidden treasures and one of them is Arbite!
It's a simple yet sleek restaurant that gives off a cozy feeling. "Arbite" is actually German for "labour" but their philosophy is - Word hard, Live well. I cannot agree more with that way of life.
We started our meal with some drinks and truffle fries. I ordered their apple cider because i'm a hardcore fan, it was a really huge bottle and it tasted very similar to Bulmers Cider.
My favourite (and only appetiser) dish! Foie Gras with a home made apple chutney on a toasted brioche! So yummy, everyone loved it!
I ordered the Egg Benedict for my main course, the hollandaise sauce is just the right consistency which made the whole dish so delicious! Look at the egg yolk flow out perfectly from the poached egg ~~~
My dad opted for the truffle burger which was quite average according to him!
My little sister Darlene ordered the Sea Salt Caramel Banana Pancakes which were nice and fluffy. There were Caramalised bananas within the pancake which tasted lovely, but if the pancakes are eaten alone, they're slightly dry.
Mummy and Darlene ^_^
I will definitely be back to try more of their brunch items, for now it's back to the books! The guys are over at my place to study over night, hmm I'll see how that works out :> Happy weekends!
